Amado dockyards was founded near 1930 by Domingo Amado Lopez, Manuel Amado Castiñeiras father, current dockyard owner, the familiar traditions goes back to Domingo Amado Froján, who had a dockyard at San Cosme de Outeiro, at Broña’s cove, Barbanza, Galicia. Amado dockyards is specially focused on building and repairing wood boats, highlighting the building of the “Santa María” caravel copy, near 1987, nowadays it is at the Philippines, or the first boat launched at O Freixo, “Anita”, with 7.5 meters in length.

Amado dockyards construct the models of scale boats 1:25 with lines of water and draws up with gauge on them, two or more longitudinal, that it uses to verify fine of prow and the stern.
